What happens during an assessment?

An assessment, which is done at home, involves a comprehensive history being taken for the child.  Following this an examination and observation is done with a parent present.  For an older child, who prefers to be seen alone and the parents are in agreement and a consent form is signed, the assessment can be carried out and all findings and planned treatment will be discussed with parents.  children_exercising_(323_x_208)

Throughout the assessment, explanations and observations are made to allow better understanding of the problems and solutions for both parent and child.
